Big Island solar permits up 121% from last year

“The solar industry on Hawaii’s Big Island has had a successful start to 2018, with permit numbers soaring year-over-year in January.

Last month, the County of Hawaii issued 102 permits for solar photovoltaic permits, compared to 46 permits during January 2017, according to data collected by Marco Mangelsdorf, president of Big Island-based ProVision Solar.”
