Power Outages—What’s in Your Inverter?
With all the crazy weather lately and only two months into our five month hurricane season, power outages have been on everybody’s mind. Solar powered energy systems until recently were not immune to power outages because the inverter used to convert the power used to only work if the electric grid was alive. When the HELCO power went out, so did the solar system; even if the sun was shining.
