Star-Advertiser: Big Island solar permits issued almost triple

PV system permits issued in Hawaii County nearly tripled in May despite the Kilauea Volcano eruption and large-scale evacuations from the lower Puna area. According to Marco, 149 permits for solar electric systems were issued for May 2018, versus 55 permits issued in May 2017.
